David Marlin Carroll, 80, of Lewis County, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022.
He was born July 17, 1941, in Lewis County, a son of the late Theodore Carroll and Clarissia Staggs Carroll.
David was a member of Vanceburg Church of God. He enjoyed going to church, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.
David is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Ilene Polley Carroll; two sons, David Allen Carroll of Vanceburg, and Ray Carroll of Reedsville, Ohio; two daughters, Yuvette Bernice Chatman and Evone Delane Chatman of Vanceburg; one brother Theodore Rodney Carroll of Muskegon, Michigan; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 12 great great-grandchildren. A host of other family members and friends also survive who will sadly morn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Carroll and Denver Carroll; two half-brothers, Pete McKinney and Rushell McKinney; and two sisters, Diane Hilger and Deloris Johnson.
Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Tim VanHook officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg.
Pallbearers will be Rick Chatman, Danny Chatman, Christopher Carroll, Ray Carroll, Ashley Dillon, and Alex Greiner.
