David “Crockett” Blankenship, 60, of Camp Dix, passed away Monday evening, May 24, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
He was born August 9, 1960, at Petersville, a son of Wilma Polly Stacy Blankenship and the late Bruce Blankenship.
Crockett was a logger and enjoyed going to tractor shows, restoring tractors, gardening, racing, talking on the phone to friends, and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann Windsor Blankenship; one son, David Blankenship of Camp Dix; one daughter, Tammy Bloomfield of Vanceburg; two brothers, Danny Blankenship (Teresa) of Vanceburg, and Bruce Blankenship (Shorty) of Camp Dix; one sister, Julia Butler (Walter) of Camp Dix; eight grandchildren, Lori Bloomfield, Meleah Blankenship, Seleah Blankenship, David Blankenship, Lathen Blankenship, Neveah Blankenship, Kaden Blankenship, and Wyatt Blankenship; and three great-grandchildren, Kylee Kinsel, Weston Bloomfield and Hadlee Carpenter. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021, in Blankenship Cemetery on Straight Fork Road at Camp Dix with Bro. Tony Corns officiating.

Pallbearers will be David M. Blankenship, Lathen Blankenship, Walter Butler, Monty Ginn, Danny Farley, and Orie Evans. David Blankenship, Jackie Howell and John Blevins will serve as honorary pallbearers.
