David Franklin Hilander, 76, of Wallingford, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Robertson County Healthcare Facility in Mt. Olivet.
He was born in Lewis County on April 14, 1948, a son of the late Cane and Bernice Pruitt Hilander.
David was a lifelong farmer and loved working on his farm, taking care of his cattle and hogs, gardening, and spending time with his two grandsons.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Judy Swim Hilander; one daughter, Jessica Hilander (Scotty Earlywine) of Wallingford; two sisters, Louise Hilander of Vanceburg and Mary Horsley of Wallingford; and two grandsons, Jordon Linville and Justin Linville. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant brother.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2024, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Aaron Hylander officiating. Burial will follow in Esham Cemetery at Tollesboro.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2024, at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jordon Linville, Justin Linville, Scotty Earlywine, Phillip Stamm, Roy Hylander and Steve Trickler.
