Debra Lynn Ruckel Lewis, 61, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
She was born June 15, 1959, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Walter and Cophine Bloomfield Ruckel.
Debbie was a member of Vanceburg Christian Baptist Church where she served as song leader. She worked for the court system for 30 years as a court reporter and trial commissioner. She enjoyed going to church, revivals and camp meetings, and spending time with her family.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Adrian Lewis; one brother, Jerry (Donna) Ruckel of Vanceburg; two special great-nephews, Camron Ruckel and Brett Ruckel; and several other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Ruckel, and a sister, Annette Chateauneuf.
A private visitation and service will be Friday, November 27, 2020, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Roger Conley and Bro. Jim Bob Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Ruckel, Todd Ruckel, Jeremy Ruckel, Camron Ruckel, Brett Ruckel, and Jeremy Fraley.
