Deloris Maxine Bloomfield Coon, 74, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 23, 2017, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born July 21, 1942, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Robie and Edna Evans Bloomfield.
Deloris enjoyed playing guitar, going out to eat, watching TV, working puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Deloris is survived by two sons, Charles Wayne Reed of Georgia, and James Edward Reed of Maysville; two daughters, Thelma Duckwiler of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Jenny Dunigan (Bill) of Vanceburg; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Barb Baldwin of Ohio, Wanda Bloomfield of Vanceburg, Bernice Bloomfield of Bucyrus, Ohio, and Martha Knell of Vanceburg. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Coon; a son, Thomas Reed; a brother, Dave Bloomfield; two sisters, Wilma Bloomfield and Patricia Honeybunn; a great-grandson, Elijah Reed; and a son-in-law, Preston Duckwiler.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2017, at Evans Chapel Cemetery at Vanceburg with Bro. Daniel Miller officiating.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2017, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
