Dennis Allen Jamison Jr. 42, of Garrison, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017.
He was born May 18, 1974, the only child of Pamela Cole Jamison and the late Dennis Jamison Sr.
Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards and board games, and woodworking. He was always a prankster and enjoyed playing practical jokes. Dennis worked for US Shoe in Vanceburg and was a carrier for the Community Common. Dennis was of the Christian faith and was a 1992 graduate of Lewis County High School.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Jennifer Shope Jamison, whom he married February 27, 1993; two sons, Dennis “DJ” Jamison and Zachary Jamison; his paternal grandmother, Edna Jamison; his mother-in-law, Noella Bloomfield; Zach’s fiance, Michelle Brown; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Brenda Shope, Tom and Amanda Shope; five nephews; a niece; 15 aunts; 14 uncles; and numerous cousins.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Pearl Jamison; maternal grandparents, James Cole, Norma Savage and Waldon “Doc” Savage; his father-in-law, Davy Shope, and an uncle, Mark Jamison.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Ronnie Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Jamison Cemetery at Garrison.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg.
Pallbearers will be Steve Savage, Tony Savage, Wayne Shope, Tom Shope, Paul Wheeler, and Tim Kimbler.
