Gloria Lee “Dodie” Arthur Miracle, 85, of Garrison, went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 27, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born at Portsmouth, Ohio, on Sunday, May 15, 1938, a daughter of the late William and Ada Florence Lowder Arthur.
Dodie was a retired teacher’s aide with the Lewis County School System having served 27 years. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she loved attending. She enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and UK Basketball, and visiting with her family and friends.
Dodie is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Gene Miracle; two daughters, Jeri Lynne (Chuck) Conner of Orlando, Florida, and Ada Jane (Dean) Lape of Liberty Township, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Nick Conner, Zach Conner, Zoe Lape, and Mackie Lape. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Ann Johnson, and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Earl Johnson.
Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison, with Bro. Brad Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Quincy Methodist Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Nick Conner, Chuck Conner, Jon Johnson, Zach Conner, Dean Lape, and Rodney Frye.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zoe Lape and Mackie Lape.
