Donald L. Ginn I, 68, of Vanceburg, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. His loving family was at his side.
Donald was born in Lewis County on October 28, 1954, a son of the late Junior Tackett and Virginia Ginn.
He was an iron worker for Toyota in Georgetown and a member of Trace Fork Christian Holiness Church. Donald loved going to church with his wife and family and loved being outdoors enjoying nature, especially watching the hummingbirds around his home. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored.
Left to cherish Donald’s memories are his wife Kathy Dyer; a daughter, Misty Ginn of Ocala Florida; one son, Donald “Duck” Ginn II and his wife Jamie of Vanceburg; a sister, Freda Ginn of Garrison; a granddaughter, Brooklyn Thurman; and a great-grandson, Weston Zornes.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Terry Cooper and Bro. Adam Cooper officiating.
