Donald Eugene Meadows, 55, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023, at his home. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born at Portsmouth, Ohio, on February 28, 1967, a son of the late Bruce and Katheryn Jordan Meadows.
Donald was a carpenter and farmer. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers and horses, working on cars, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Goldie Carrington Meadows; one son, Shawn Meadows and his wife Frances of Vanceburg; one daughter, Ashley Miller and her husband Andy of Vanceburg; three brothers, Harold Meadows of Flemingsburg, and Roger Meadows and Lovell Meadows of Vanceburg; four sisters, Shirley Scott of Flemingsburg, and Linda King, Connie Flinders, and Marsha King and her husband Johnny of Vanceburg; and a very special friend and sidekick, Daniel Miller. Many other family and friends also survive who will sadly mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Meadows and Jerry Meadows.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Barry Banta and Bro. Arnold Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Miller, Matthew Miller, Trey Flinders, Kenneth Flinders, Tiger Flinders, and Harlan Scott. Shawn Meadows, Harold Meadows, Brantly Miller and Isiah Phares will serve as honorary pallbearers.
