Donald Ray Bevins, 78, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born in Lewis County on March 7, 1943, a son of the late Louis Bevins and Lorene May Bevins.
Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Betty Faye Edington Bevins; one son, Kenny Ray (Charlena) Bevins of Vanceburg; one daughter, Donna Prince of Greenup County; one brother, Roger Bevins of Camp Dix; five sisters, Rosie Noble of Tollesboro, Rita Cropper of Burtonville, Renea Meadows of Petersville, Carmi Lucille Rose of Maysville, and Peggy Granville of Vanceburg; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A host of other family members and friends also survive who sadly mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Marsha Maria Bevins; three brothers, Calvin Bevins, Jimmy Bevins, and Allen Bevins, and one infant brother; and one sister, Joyce Bevins.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Tony Corns officiating.
Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Sunday at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Donald’s family members will serve as pallbearers.
