Donald Joseph Thomas, 60, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022, at his home.
He was born January 11, 1962, in Lewis County, a son of the late Chester and Ruby Dyer Thomas.
Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting, anything outdoors, and cooking.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Knell Thomas; one son, Jamie Thomas of Vanceburg; two daughters, Lacy Thomas (Terry Johnson II) of Vanceburg and Rachael (Johnathan) Ratliff of Flemingsburg; two brothers, Robert Thomas of Adams County, Ohio, and Larry Thomas of Morehead; two sisters, Opal Cornell of Morehead and Sarah Logan of Emerson; and nine grandchildren, Caleb Hampton, Hailey Thomas, Brooklyn Thomas, Alex Ratliff, Kason Ratliff, Leyton Ratliff, Nathaniel (Cruize) Ratliff, Wyatt Johnson, and Jaylee Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lee Ann Thomas; one brother, Abraham Thomas; and three sisters, Bessie Scott, Cynthia Thomas, and Virginia Thomas.
Services will be at Noon Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix, with Bro. Ronnie Enix officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Terry Johnson II, Johnathan Ratliff, Jamie Thomas, Joseph Blankenship, Jesse Smith, and Andrew Smith.
