Donald Ray Waters, 85, went to be with the Lord on Friday January 26, 2024, at his home. He was surrounded by family.
Don was born May 4, 1938, in Bracken County, a son of the late Elmer and Mamie McClanahan Waters. He was retired from McFarland Chevrolet where he worked in the service department.
Survivors include his children, James Waters, Roger (Melissa) Waters, George (Tera) Waters of Tollesboro, Sherry (David) Rowland, and Patty (Rodney) Earls; two stepsons, Tommy Bryant and Timmy Bryant; a brother, Fred (Juanita) Waters; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves his fur-baby and loyal companion, Buddy.​
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Allene Waters; a daughter, Marsha Waters; twi sons Johnathan Waters and Mark Waters; and eight siblings James, Margaret, Hester, Marjorie, Betty, Charles, Mary Jane, and Robert.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Brell and Son Funeral Home in Maysville with Bro. Jamie Mitchell, Bro. Justin Dodson, and Pastor Arthur Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Shannon Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
