Donna Jane Rister Cassidy, 62, of Quincy, passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 18, 2020, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born on June 8, 1957, at Port Clinton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Richard and Bonnie Anderson Rister.
Donna was of the Christian faith and was a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed reading her Bible, fishing, cooking and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
Donna is survived by two daughters, Lacey Thomas and Shauna Thomas (Derreck), of Quincy; three grandchildren, Abagale Williamson, Rikki Thomas, and Molli Thomas; one brother, Joe Rister of Quincy; and two sisters, Irseh Hall (Greg) of Garrison, and Mitza Bowling (Richard) of Black Oak. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Allen Rister; and one sister, Debora Shepherd.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2020, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison with Bro. Clarence Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Crystal Dawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2020, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Hilger, Mack Edington, Josh Hall, Billy Edington, Derreck Thomas and Gary Edington.
