Donald Ray “Donnie” Gilbert, 65, of Maysville, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 30, 1957, at Maysville, a son of Mary Agnes Dugan Gilbert and the late Robert S. Gilbert.
Donnie enjoyed gardening, farming, attending and participating in tractor pulls, working with dairy cattle, collecting marbles, UK Basketball, and John Deere. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Sandra Vice Gilbert; one daughter, Amanda R. Gilbert (Sam) Love of Vanceburg; and a granddaughter, Emma Raye Love. Several aunts, uncles, and other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
Services will be at Noon Monday, September 11, 2023, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Silas Ripato officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories in Mason County.
Friends may visit after 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2023, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Pallbearers will be Darin Dugan, David Dugan, Chris Weber, Josh Vice, and Derek Perkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Daniel, Johnny Hendrix, and Randy Dugan.
