Doris Ann Ratliff passed away peacefully in her sleep in Sciotoville, Ohio, on Sunday, June 25, 2023, following a brief illness. She was surrounded by family and loved ones.
Doris was born to James Melvin Clark and Della Mae Akers Clark on June 13,1949, in Portsmouth, Ohio, and grew up in Lewis County.
She married the love of her life, Dwight, July 14, 1973, in Ruskin, Florida. This union
brought two daughters and 50 years of love and companionship. Doris was an
avid Kentucky Wildcats fan and on game nights she could be heard screaming at
the television while wearing her lucky UK socks. She loved cheering for Dale
Earnhardt Jr., singing along to Elvis Presley, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her siblings, Millie Blackburn of Nevada, Ohio, Barbara
Ridgeway of Quincy, and Mike Clark of Bucyrus, Ohio; her daughters, Delrita (James) Munion of Sciotoville, Ohio, and Lisa (Dean) Kelly of Nashville, Tennessee; a special niece, Jenny Blackburn; and her grandchildren, Daniel Brown, Presley Ratliff, Eric Munion, Brady Holbrook, and Jesse Holbrook, who were the light of her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Mary Thomas, and her husband, Galen Dwight Ratliff.
She will be cremated and joined once again with her husband, Dwight.
