Douglas Tumlin

Douglas Howard Tumlin, 67, of Vanceburg, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022, at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington.

He was born in Lewis County on March 2, 1955, a son of the late Stanley Tumlin and Margie Hackworth Tumlin.

Douglas enjoyed watching racing and sports on TV, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter, Christine (Ethan) Gibson of Vanceburg; one stepdaughter, Brenda Tumlin of Tollesboro; three brothers, Jack Tumlin and Ken Tumlin of Vanceburg, and Frank Tumlin of Tollesboro; one sister, Janet McCormick of Tollesboro; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Olive Annetta Lamar Tumlin, and a brother, Robert Dean Tumlin.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Bro. Patrick Tumlin and Bro. Phil Cropper officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Cemetery at Foxport.

Friends may visit after 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2022, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
