The operator of a tractor-trailer traveling on the Grayson Spur of the AA Highway was taken to the hospital following an overnight crash when he attempted to avoid striking a deer in the roadway.
Deputy Eric Poynter said the accident happened about 2:45 a.m. Friday on the Grayson Spur about 1.5 miles south of the AA Highway.
