Duane Collier, 64, of Willard, formerly of Garrison, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born July 8, 1954, in Lewis County, a son of the late Howard Collier Sr. and Shirley Foreman Collier.
Duane was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets, trading, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marylin Sue Wilson Collier.
Duane is survived by his two sons, Shawndale Collier (Jess) and Jason Collier (Lanette) all of Garrison; one daughter, Blake Wilson Adams (Brent)of Lexington; six grandchildren, Harley Collier, Kaitlyn Marie Collier, Tyler Ison, Cody Ison, Jade Adams and Taylor Adams; three brothers, Howard B. Collier Jr. of Garrison, Manneth Collier of Quincy, and Charles Collier of Willard; two sisters, Geraldine Thurman and Teresa Lewis both of Garrison; and his companion, Jean Miller. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. Ben Collier officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018, and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
