James Douglas “Dusty” Lykins, 68, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at his home.
He was born in Lewis County on August 11, 1956, a son of the late Earl and Marjorie Chinn Lykins.
Dusty was a member of Union Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling, watching NASCAR, going out, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include a sister, Jackie (Michael) Howard of Vanceburg; a brother, Michael (Vickie) Lykins of Vanceburg; several nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Vivian Lynn Hampton Lykins; one son, James Bradley Lykins; three sisters, Kathy Heater, Rebecca Stafford and Lisa Meadows; and two brothers, Ronald Gene Lykins and Donald Dean Lykins.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Joe Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
