Earl Desmond Mefford, 74, of Tollesboro, passed away Monday January 22, 2024, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville.
He was born April 25, 1949, in Lewis County, a son of the late Mitchell and Viola Mefford Lykins.
He loved the beach, Snickers, his dog, and Facebook.
Earl is survived by three daughters, Connie (Marty) Ruggles of Tollesboro, Debra (Kevin) Purdon of Maysville, and Heather (Ray) King of New Castle, Indiana; five sisters, Pauline Westerfield of Markerville, Indiana, Sharon (Bentley) Applegate of Tollesboro; Bonnie Gray of West Union, Ohio, Karen Flannigan of Lewis County, and Mary (Mike) Helterbridle of Manchester, Ohio; four brothers, Mitch (Paula) Lykins of Georgia, Mike (Mary) Lykins of North Carolina, Charles Lykins of Richmond, and Mark Lykins of Lewis County; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Fizer Mefford; two sisters, Amanda Ruth Rickett and Betty Lykins; and a great-grandson, Braxton Eli Ruggles.
A private graveside service will be conducted.
