Edgar Allen Lanthorn, 80, of Cynthiana, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
He was born in Lewis County on December 15, 1943, a son of the late Leslie and Anna Bruce Lanthorn.
He attended Cynthiana Christian Church where he served as a deacon and was a member of the men’s Bible study.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lanthorn; a brother, Donald Lanthorn; and his grandchildren, Mason (Hannah Schigel) Lanthorn and Carter Lanthorn.
In addition to his parents, Edgar was preceded in death by a son, Richard Lanthorn, and three brothers, Roy Lanthorn, Frank Lanthorn and George Lanthorn.
Services will be at Noon Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Ware Funeral Home in Cynthiana.Â
Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
