Edith Ethel Kennedy Scott Carroll, 82, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020, at her home.
She was born December 3, 1937, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Omar and Mary Beard Kennedy.
Edith was of the Christian faith and was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, scratching lottery tickets and spending time with her family.
Edith is survived by five sons, Carlos Scott (Reva) of Piketon, Ohio, Greg Scott (Rita) and Harlan Scott (Tonya) of Vanceburg, Jack Scott (Jamie) of Columbus, Ohio, and James Scott (Rhonda) of Petersville; 38 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Scott; her second husband, Ralph Carroll; two daughters, Arlos Dyer and Mary Dean; one son, Russell Scott; one brother, Carlos Tomlin; and one sister, Pauline Hayes.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow Evans Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
