Lewis County Judge Executive Todd Ruckel said emergency funding has been approved by the state to make repairs to Big Cabin Creek Road following a recent slip there that damaged a portion of the roadway

Ruckel said the slip is 8/10 of a mile from Ky. Rt. 57 and affects about 127 feet along the roadway.

“We submitted a request for emergency funding to the Kentucky Department of Transportation on March 4,” Ruckel said.

“They sent engineers here to review the request and look at the damage. They approved full funding of the repairs,” he said.

Ruckel said the estimated cost to repair the roadway at that location is $41,063.
