Ernest Euguene Polley, 78, Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Life Care Center of Morehead.
He was born at Springfield, Ohio, September 14, 1944, a son of the late Ernest and Gladys Johnson Polley.
Ernest attended Mosby Community Church. He enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions, loafing, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include a son, Mike (Missi) Polley of Morehead; one daughter, Teresa (John) Moore of Garrison; two sisters, Ilene Carroll of Black Oak and Donna Clark of Vanceburg; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Lou Buckner Polley; one grandson, Joe Moore; and one brother, Ray Polley.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix, with Bro. Rick Buckner officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix.
Pallbearers will be Mike Polley, Gavin Polley, Teresa Moore, John Moore, Jeremy Moore, and Joshua Moore.
