Ernie Wilford McRoberts, 86, of Emerson, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at King’s Daughter Medical Center in Ashland. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 20, 1937, a son of the late James and Maudie Muse McRoberts.
Ernie was proud to be a Christian and loved going to church. He enjoyed mowing, gardening, hunting, playing games with his family, and most of all spending time with his family.
Survivors include two sons, David (Karen) McRoberts of Emerson and Jerry McRoberts of Orlando, Florida; three grandchildren, Joshua, Craig, and Jason; five great-grandchildren, Hunter, Trinity, Abigail, Amelia, and Emersyn. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Lillian Dyer McRoberts; three sisters, Minnie Crawford, Irene Stamm and Joyce Sparks; two brothers, Clifford McRoberts and Douglas McRoberts; and and two brothers in infancy.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix, with Bro. Clyde Holbrook and Bro. Jerry Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix.
Pallbearers will be Mike, Stephen, Jason, Vaughn, Craig, and Hunter.
