Essie Bloomfield

Essie Alice Conley Bloomfield, 81, of Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at her home.

She was born in Lewis County on March 11, 1940, a daughter of the late Charles Conley and Laura Scaggs Conley.

Alice was a member of Nolen Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, reading, flower gardening, and spending time with her family.

Alice is survived by four sons, Ronnie (Jane) Bloomfield of Toledo, Ohio, Randy (Kim) Bloomfield of Vanceburg, Richie (Ronnie) Bloomfield of Utah, and Danny (Joanie) Bloomfield of Vanceburg; three daughters, Barb (Tom) Turner of Toledo, Ohio, Connie (Rick) Blevins of Vanceburg, and Vicki (Lowell) Toller of Wilmington, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lillie Buckner of Toledo, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Noah Bloomfield; one son, Larry Ray Bloomfield; three brothers, S. David Conley, Leo Franklin Conley, and Bruce Conley; five sisters, Juanita Stone, Elsie Pierce Zornes, Velva Evans, Madeline Beddow, and Pauline Smith; one grandchild, Jamie Bloomfield; and six siblings in infancy.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix, with Bro. Gene Paul and Bro. Forest Butler officiating.

Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy.

Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022, and after 9:00 a.m. Sunday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix.

Pallbearers will be Danny Bloomfield, Chris Bloomfield, Randy Bloomfield, Ronnie Bloomfield, Adam Turner, and Tommy Turner.
