Eva Marshall Jordan, 86, of Maysville, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at her home.
She was born in Breathitt County on February 1, 1937, a daughter of the late Andy B. and Mary Jane Hudson Marshall.
Eva served as Lewis County Jailer for 10 years. She helped her husband, Paul, for many years prior to taking office. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and especially spending time with her grandson.
Eva is survived by one grandson, Douglas Reagan Jordan of Maysville; one brother, Hoy Marshall of Jackson; and two sisters, Melda Haddix of Lexington and Geneva Grisby of London. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Paul Lewis Jordan; one son, Paul Douglas Jordan; five brothers, Oscar Marshall, John Marshall, Melvin Marshall, Junior Marshall ,and Bob Marshall; and two sisters, Cynthia Combs and Edna Welch.
Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. John Byard officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit one hour prior to services Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Joe Paul Gilbert, Johnny Bivens, Tom Flannigan, Benjamin Harrison, Brady Brewer, and Larry Riley.
