Everette Edwards Jr, 85, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away Sunday evening, February 17, 2019, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born July 3, 1933, in Lewis County, a son of the late Everette and Louise Holcomb Edwards.
Everette enjoyed going coon hunting, dirt track racing and spending time with his family.
Everette is survived by his wife, Dottie Ginn Edwards of Vanceburg; one son, Darrell Edwards of Vanceburg; four daughters, Rita Lykins (Ronald) of Vanceburg, Linda Bell (Lewis) of Vanceboro, North Carolina, Sheila Riley (Dale) of Petersville, and Dodie Flinders (Jack) of Cynthiana; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Teddy Edwards, Richard Edwards, and Gary Edwards, and two sisters, Irene Clay and Pauline Blizzard.
A graveside service for Everette Edwards will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Esham Cemetery with Bro. Tony Corns officiating.
Friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Esham Cemetery.
