Farrell Mustard

Farrell R. Mustard, 77, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, at his home following a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Farrell was born in Lewis County June 3, 1947, a son of the late Ollie F. and Mabel Mae Tackett Mustard. He had worked for Douglas Manufacturing in Elyria, Ohio. He and his wife, JoAnn, moved back to Lewis County and he worked for the US Shoe Corporation. He also worked for FKI Logistics in Maysville and worked in construction for Eastern Kentucky Power Company. Ferrell was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and collecting arrowheads, deer hunting, turkey hunting, and fishing.

Left to cherish his memories are a daughter, Kelley (Ronald) Armstrong of Wallingford; a son, Farrell Roger Mustard II of Vanceburg; a brother, Dale (Lois) Mustard of Tollesboro; his grandchildren, Kayla Dawn Armstrong and her fiancé, Cass Toller, Shauna “Gabby” (Jason) Stout, Hayden Blake Mustard, Austin Kyle Mustard, David (Lisa) Dyer, and Danny (Aimee) Dyer; and eight great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Burgess Mustard in 2014; a sister, Magdelene Sparks; two brothers, Terry Mike Mustard and Larry Mustard; and two stepsons, David Dyer and Michael Dyer.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
