Fay Gardner Bryant, 78, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
Born in Coolidge, Georgia, on January 15, 1947, Fay was a daughter of the late Delma C. and Dottie Ree Strickland Gardner.
She was a retired paraprofessional with Sunset Elementary School in Moultrie, Georgia. Fay and Wayne moved to Clarkesville 10 years ago and were faithful members at Oaky Mountain Baptist Church. Fay enjoyed fishing, gardening, and fellowship with her church family. She and Wayne enjoyed traveling by RV. More than anything, Fay loved her husband, children, and family.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Bryant; a daughter, Michelle Burgess of Toccoa, Georgia; two sons, Derek Burgess (Brandi) of Forsyth, Georgia, and Tim Burgess of Cordele, Georgia; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Blevins of Morehead; a stepson, Tim Bryant (Candace) of Lake Butler, Florida; a brother, Johnny Gardner (Betty) of Valdosta, Georgia; two sisters, Joyce Benton of Moultrie, Georgia, and Latrelle Burkholder of Valdosta, Georgia; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Numerous cousins and extended family members also survive.
In addition to her parents, Fay was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melissa Burgess.
A private interment will be in Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at Coolidge, Georgia.
