The filing deadline for candidates passed at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday with no one filing for the four available seats on Concord City Commission.

County Clerk Glenda Himes said eligible Concord citizens could still file as write-in candidates until October 28 for the November election.

Six candidates have filed for the six non-partisan seats on Vanceburg City Council. Five presently hold seats on Vanceburg City Council and one is a former council member.
