Finley Ervin Howard

Finley Ervin Howard, 76, of Garrison, passed away Sunday evening, August 21, 2016, at his home.

He was born February 1, 1940, in Greenup County, a son of the late Benjamin and Lottie Horsley Howard.

Finley was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed playing guitar, listening to music, entertaining, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Deloris Walters Howard; a son, David Dewayne Howard; three brothers, Carl Howard, Woodrow Howard, and Dee Howard; and four sisters, Louise Vickers, Dorothy Howard, Stella Howard, and Christine Howard.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ervin Wade Howard of Columbus, Ohio, and Mark Allen and Julia Howard of Garrison; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Howard and Abe Howard, both of Ohio; and one sister, Nellie Rese of Florida. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

At the request of the family there will be no visitation or service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Howard Cemetery.
