Francis Browning

Francis Louise Browning, 77, of Maysville, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024, at her home. She was the widow of Azro Browning Jr.

Born in Lewis County on July 26, 1947, her father was the late Harlan Cooley and her mother was the late Alice Colemire Cooley.

Francis was a homemaker who had worked for 12 years as a supervisor at Parker’s Tobacco Warehouse in Maysville.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tisha (husband Danny) Billings and Teresa (husband Michael) Stamm; her six grandchildren, Trey (wife Brittany) Gallenstein, Darby (Cayla Fite) Gallenstein, Gregory (wife Katy) Gallenstein, Bryson (Haley Merkel) Billings, Brayden (Jaselyn Ginn) Stamm, and Tanner Billings; and her five great-grandchildren, Arthur Gallenstein, Theo Gallenstein, Remi Gallenstein, Clayson Billings, and Presley Billings.  She is also survived her sister, Barb Brierly; her son-in-law, Greg Gallenstein; along with many extended family members and friends.

In addition to her husband Azro, who passed in 2016, along with her parents Harlan and Alice, Francis was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Gallenstein; her son, Billy Mason; her brother, Kenneth Cooley; and her sister, Rosemary Buchannan.

The service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg.

Francis will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Garden of Memories.

Pallbearers include her grandsons, Danny Billings, and Greg Gallenstein.

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Friday at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home, 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
