Frank Crawford Jr., 85, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Frank was born on November 18, 1937, a son of the late Frank and Hattie Pitt Crawford. Frank was a self-employed logger and farmer, and was an extremely hard-working man. He loved being at home with his chainsaw and the woods. In his younger years he enjoyed dirt track racing and even had his own race car at one point.
Survivors include his wife of more than 67 years, Ruth Esham Crawford, whom he married on March 14, 1956; two daughters, Maria (Bill) Conley and Melinda (Bud) Stafford of Vanceburg; one son, George (Kimberly) Crawford of Vanceburg; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Archie Crawford, Edward Crawford, and Ray Crawford, and six sisters, Gladys Stamm, Imogene King, Margie Meadows, Mayme Sparks, Dorothy Stamm, and Edna Stamm.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Butch Kelsey officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas Cemetery on Indian.
