Franklin Darrell Flack Sr., 62, of Vanceburg, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at his home.
He was born in Lewis County on December 28, 1960, a son of the late Franklin Thomas and Eva Joyce Applegate Flack.
He was a member of Union Baptist Church. He loved doing mechanic work and was a truck driver for Wells Concrete. He enjoyed racing hotrods, fixing cars, and spending time with his family.
Franklin is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Pamela Sue Thurman Flack; two daughters, Jessica Smith and Amber Schwallie of Vanceburg; one son Franklin Darrell Flack Jr. and his wife, Sarah of Tollesboro; two sisters, Twana (Gary) Saunders of Fleming County and Sharon Flack of Evansville, Indiana; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Teresa Gardner, Brenda Hesler, and Cindy Saunders.
Services will be at Noon Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 Kentucky 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Joe Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Happy Hollow Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Pallbearers will be George Gilliam, Daniel Hester, Randal Toller, Kendall Thurman Jr., Tammy Little, and Clarence Little.
