Fred “Freddie” Corns Jr., 75, of Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday morning, May 31, 2017, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born May 23, 1942, in Lewis County, a son of the late Fred Corns Sr. and Lucy Ellen Cotton Corns.
Freddie attended Shepherd’s Chapel Church and enjoyed attending church services at the nursing home, watching television, and spending time with his family and friends.
Freddie is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Harlan Thoroughman, and Georgetta and Delbert Thoroughman, all of Vanceburg. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Everette Corns, Gerald Wayne Corns, and Ronald Eugene Corns; and four sisters, Ice Ruggles, Rose Fite, Connie Sanders, and Clara Kay Corns.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Dickerson Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery at Ribolt.
Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Freddie’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.
