Garnet Mae Hartley Fraley, 74, of Vanceburg, passed away Friday morning, September 23, 2016, at Hospice of Hope at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.
She was born October 23, 1941, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Bruce Hartley and Pearl McGinnis Hackworth.
Garnet worked as a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and listening to the radio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Fraley; a son, William Hubert Cooper Jr.; and a sister, Blanche Hartley.
Garnet is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Emma Hartley of Danville, Larry and Ramona Cooper of Tollesboro, William and Reagan Cooper of Memphis, Tennessee, and Robert and Amy Cooper of Garrison; two daughters and sons-in-law, April “Katie” and Brian Ginn, and Tammy and Carey Highfield, all of Vanceburg; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Darrell Hackworth and Ray Hackworth, both of Vanceburg, and Cecil Hackworth of Maysville; and two sisters, Barbara Ingold of Bucyrus, Ohio, and Patricia Howe of Maysville. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
At the family’s request there will be no visitation or service.
