Garnet Stamper

Garnet Mae Fraley Stamper, 77, of Garrison, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

She was born August 28, 1948, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Walter Michael and Cassie Maire Middaugh Fraley.

Garnet was a member of Lloyd Ridge Pentecostal Church where she loved to attend. She enjoyed playing Bingo, making quilts and jewelry, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Amber Dawn Edison of Garrison, Cassie (Ramon) Coronado of Garrison, and Cathy Stamper (Liz Cantrell) of Clearfield; one sister, Margene Witten of Garrison; one special sister, Loretta Fisher of Garrison; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two special friends, Danny Dummitt and Irene Christy. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James “Bill” Stamper; three sisters, Carrie Madden, Beulah Rister, and Rinda Logan; and four brothers, George Fraley, Harry Fraley, Milton Fraley, and Fred Fraley.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison, with Bro. Anthony Rister officiating. Burial will follow in Soldier Cemetery at Garrison.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2025, and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison.

Pallbearers will be Rick Dummitt, Brian Horsley, Everett Horsley, Ramon Coronado, Serigo Nickell, and Tim Witten.
