Gary Lee Jordan, 64, of Vanceburg, passed away Friday afternoon, January 26, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.

He was born September 12, 1953, in Lewis County, a son of the late Coy Edgar and Margaret Louise Hoover Jordan.

Gary was a member, Sunday School Superintendent, and a Deacon of Trace Fork Christian Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Gary is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathy Polley Jordan; two daughters, Debra Desai (Neel) of Villa Hills  and Shawnare Duncan (Brian) of Vanceburg; three grandchildren, Zachery Duncan, Coy Lee Jordan II and Ethan Desai; two sisters, Christine Cooper (Bob) of Fostoria, Ohio and Betty Estepp (James) of Vanceburg; and one daughter-in-law, Deborah Evans Jordan of Vanceburg . He leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

He was preceded in death by a son, Coy Lee Jordan, and a brother, Coy Edgar Jordan Jr.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Terry Cooper and Sister Jeanne Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Howard Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018, and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
