George Heater

George Allan Heater, 61, of Garrison, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

He was born November 11, 1959, in Lewis County, a son of Charlene Fetters Heater Cook of Vanceburg and the late Kenneth Heater.

George was retired from Carmeuse Lime. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.

In addition to his mother, survivors include the mother of his children, Kathy Lykins Heater; two sons, Chad Allan Heater of Tollesboro and Josh (Jessica) Heater of Vanceburg; two grandchildren, Caleb Heater and Jason Heater; one brother, Kenny (Donna) Heater of Aberdeen, Ohio; one sister, Dorothy (Henry) Zornes of Olive Hill; three half-sisters, Paula (Brad) Wells, Samantha (Jimmy) Stratton, and Heather (Chris) Daniels, all of Prestonsburg; a special niece, Monica Zornes; a special friend, Jeanine Maddox; and a host of nieces and nephews that will sadly mourn his passing.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Jason Heater, and a brother, Harold Heater.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2021, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Joe Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may visit one hour prior to services Monday, October 25, 2021, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg.

Pallbearers will be Josh Heater, Kenny Heater, Jason Rayburn, Jason Howard, Chad Phillips, Jimmy Stratton, Grant Stratton, and Chris Daniels. Chad Heater and Henry Zornes will serve as honorary pallbearers.
