Gladys C. Blanton Ruggles, 95, of Millersport, Ohio, formerly of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2022.
She was born at Vanceburg April 22, 1927, a daughter of the late David Marvin Blanton and Alice Florence Stone Blanton.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters, Rita (Mike) Maynard of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Terri (Ken) Grace of Buckeye Lake, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Sherri (Terry) Timmons of Athens, GA., Kelly (Aaron) Taylor of Cincinnati, Ohio, Stephanie (Ryan) Price of Medway, Ohio, Alice (Chris) Taylor of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Ed (Stephanie) Paul of McDermott, Ohio, Rusty (Beth) Ruggles of Minford, Ohio, April (Danny Davis) Ruggles of West Portsmouth, Ohio, Tom (Amanda) Ruggles of Portsmouth, Ohio, John (Samantha) Ruggles of Portsmouth, Ohio, Emily (Jack Allen) Grace of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Natalie (Jaxon) Whitford of Buckeye Lake, Ohio; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Several other family and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Earl Ruggles; one daughter, Anita Louise Maynard; and three sons, Michael Lee Ruggles, Earnest Earl Ruggles JR., and Gary Wayne Ruggles.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2022, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore with Kevin Greene officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday after 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
