Glenda Christine Highfield, 70, of Tollesboro, passed away Monday, August 12, 2022, at Fleming County Hospital.
She was born in Lewis County on April 25, 1952, a daughter of the late Otto Highfield and Opal Gertrude Prater Highfield.
Glenda was of the Christian faith and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Glenda is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Highfield and Monte Fletcher of Tollesboro; two grandsons, Joshua and James Gibbs; three sisters, her twin, Linda Highfield of Flemingsburg, Martha Conn of Cabin Creek, and Paula Palmer of Wallingford; special nieces, Alexis Highfield, Makenna Highfield, Erica Chatman, Adriana Highfield, Jherika Wallingford, and Billie Jo Kegley; and special nephews, Wesley Highfield (Billie Jo), TJ Palmer, Jeremy Highfield (Penny), Russell Phelps, Hunter Cordray, Cody Kegley, and Dalton Kegley. A host of other family members and friends also survive who will sadly mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Lee Highfield; five brothers, James Highfield, Mitchell Highfield, Sonny Highfield, Ricky Highfield, and an infant brother; and one sister, Kitty McCall.
Services will be at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in East Fork Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Pallbearers will be Monte Fletcher, Russell Phelps, Dalton Kegley, TJ Palmer, Wesley Highfield, and Jeremy Highfied.
Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Gibbs, James Gibbs, Cody Kegley, Tyler Terrell, Travis Brown, and Timmy Logan.
