Gorden Lee McGlone Jr., 59, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday evening, January 16, 2016, at his residence.
He was born July 8, 1956, in Lewis County, a son of Gorden McGlone Sr. and the late Martha Armstrong McGlone.
Gorden attended the Christian Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting, farming, animals, camping, pranking people and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel McGlone, and two sisters, Cleo Pack and Eloise Cooper.
Gorden is survived by his stepmother, Dorthy McGlone of Vanceburg; his wife, Susan Eckles McGlone of Vanceburg; two sons, Jeff Egerton (Selena) and Carl McGlone (Tonya) of Lucasville, Ohio; two daughters, Amy Howard of New Boston, Ohio, and Angela McGlone of Vanceburg; two brothers, Robin McGlone (Pam) and Robie McGlone (Julie) of Vanceburg; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild;. He also leaves many other family member and friends who will sadly miss him.
Services were at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Sister Sheila McGlone officiating. Burial was in Riley Cemetery in Carter County. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
