Gordon Gail Stone, 84, of Camp Dix, passed away Saturday morning, May 6, 2017, at the home of his daughter in Wyandotte, Michigan.
He was born August 20, 1932, in Lewis County, a son of the late Ezekiel and Eva Mae Edington Stone.
Gordon proudly served his country in the United States Marines. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends
Gordon is survived by one son, Gail Dean Stone of South Shore; two daughters, Rita Levely of Wyandotte, Michigan, and Michelle Wojey of Roscommon, Michigan; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, June Burton of Germantown. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Wilma Bradford Stone; one son, Jeff Stone; four brothers, Ersel Stone, William Stone, Oral Stone, and James Stone; and two sisters, Carma Johnson and Nirene Stone.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix with Bro. Daniel Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Stone Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the Monte Lewis Stamm VFW Post 5438.
Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
