Gracie Belle Spencer, 91, of Flemingsburg, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023, at Pioneer Trace Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
Born in Lewis County on September 22, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Tom Logan and Lida Mae Davis.
Gracie was retired from US Shoe in Flemingsburg after 30 years of service as a shoe cutter. She attended Light of Grace Church in Flemingsburg and loved spending time with her family and cooking large meals.
Gracie is survived by her six children, Roger (Diane) Spencer, William Henry (Bonnie) Spencer Jr., Thomas Spencer, Billy Ray Spencer, Debbie Cooper, and Diane Evans; her brother, Hubert Logan; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her dog, Fancy; and her cat, Little Bit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Spencer; two sons, James A. “Meathead” Spencer and Ronnie Spencer; four brothers, Ralph Logan, John Logan, James Logan, and Tommy Logan; and two grandsons, Travis Spencer and Marky Dale Spencer.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Bro. Charlie Hamm officiating.
Gracie will be laid to rest in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chris Spencer, Dennis Cooper, Larry Spencer, Justin Flack, Aaron Flack, and Derek Spencer.
Honorary Pallbearers will include her late grandchildren Travis and Marky Dale Spencer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospital for Children (110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, KY 40508).
