Granger Thomas “Tommy” Liles Jr., 55, of Quincy, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, after a brief illness.
Granger was born February 3, 1961, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Doris Lucille Pruitt Liles and the late Granger Thomas “Tom” Liles Sr.
Mr. Liles had worked as a carpenter for Dugan & Meyer Construction where he took great pride in his work. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and woodworking, having built many beautiful pieces of furniture for his children, family and friends. Mr. Liles was a devoted and adoring father who had a tremendous love for his children and grandchildren that was evident in every aspect of his life.
Mr. Liles leaves behind many heartbroken family members who loved him dearly. These include his three children; Amanda (Paul) Collier of Vanceburg, Tyler (Tabitha) Liles of Tollesboro and Tomi-Jo (Marc) Harrison of Louisville; seven grandchildren; Katelyn Collins, Hunter Collins, Addyson Liles, Lexi Liles, Averi Collier, Harper Collier and Ellington Harrison; his mother, Doris Liles; three brothers, Roch (Marlene) Liles, Rusty Liles and Dean Liles; and two sisters, Teresa Liles and Donna (Dan) Bentley. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who will sorely miss his humor and love for his family.
Mr. Liles was preceded in death by his father, Granger Thomas Liles Sr.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Bentley, Brandon Liles, Grant Liles, Andrew Liles, Zachary Liles, Marc Harrison and Paul Collier. Honorary pallbearers are the seven grandchildren of Mr. Liles, as this was a wish that he voiced repeatedly in life.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Quincy Church of Christ with Bro. Danny Bentley officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue in Garrison, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Stone Cemetery at Laurel.
