Harold Franklin Crawford, 81, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 25, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Vanceburg.
He was born June 1, 1935, in Lewis County, a son of the late Archie and Goldie Stevens Crawford.
Harold was a long-time member of Vanceburg First Baptist Church and was retired from the Lewis County Road Department and Laborers Union #189 of Lexington. He enjoyed working, riding his motorcycle, and building trailers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gilbert Stamm and Ronnie Crawford.
Harold is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosemary Cook Crawford; one son, Michael David Crawford of Vanceburg; two grandchildren, Michael David Crawford II (Dawn) and Adam David Crawford; six great-grandchildren, Justin Crawford, Fayden Crawford, Benton Crawford, Amanda McKinney, John McKinney, and Amber McKinney; one brother, Elwood Crawford (Betty) of Vanceburg; and two sisters, Betty Vanderpool of Bethel, Ohio, and Dorothy Lewis (Charles) of Vanceburg. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Michael Ulrich officiating. Burial will follow in Esham Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016, and until the service hour on Sunday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Harold’s family members will serve as pallbearers.
