Have an ATV? Know safety and know the law

Spring is in the air and folks are eager to get outdoors and enjoy some warm weather activities.
A lot of people enjoy hopping on an all-terrain vehicle and heading out for a ride.
That’s why this time of year law enforcement receives many complaints about noise, trespassing and illegal operation of all-terrain vehicles.
There are plenty of things to keep in mind if you own an ATV and safety should be at the top of that list.
Nationally, there were 107,500 ATV injuries in 2011. There were 327 ATV-related deaths reported and 29,000 emergency room visits.
