Helen Berry

Helen Evans Berry, 98, of Maysville, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the home of her niece. She was surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Lewis County on April 16, 1926, a daughter of the late Everett and Lela Truesdell Evans.

Helen enjoyed gardening, spending time outside with her family, and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her grandsons, Glenn (Marsha) Frye and children, and Adam Frye and children; caregiver and niece, Teresa Evans; special nieces, Donna Evans, Miranda (John) Pollitt-Robison; and special nephews, John Ruark and Donald Ruark. Many friends also survive who will sadly miss her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 21 years, Ralph Berry; one son, Wilbur Lee Frye; five sisters, Daisy Walker, Bessie Evans, Hazel Clark, Bonnie Evans, and Wanda Greenhill; and three brothers, Howard Evans, Floyd Evans, and Ray Evans.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. John Byard officiating. Burial will follow in McClurg Cemetery at Concord.

Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
