Helen Kay Helderbrand Elam, 70, of Knightstown, Indiana, formerly of Camp Dix, passed away Thursday morning, July 20, 2017, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, Indiana.
She was born May 29, 1947, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Cletus Oral and Betty Jean Stamper Helderbrand.
Helen was a member of the Hilltop Tabernacle Church and enjoyed going on vacation, dining out, visiting with her family, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Helen is survived by one son, Cory Elam of Shelbyville, Indiana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly Driesbach and Jack of Greenfield, Indiana, and Kelly Carrington and Dave of Knightstown, Indiana; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers and six sisters-in-law, Ronald Helderbrand and Gala, Kevin Helderbrand and Holly, and Terry Helderbrand and Lisa, all of Knightstown, Indiana, Randy Helderbrand and Rhonda of Spiceland, Indiana, Susie Helderbrand of Fishers, Indiana, and Theora Goss of Owingsville. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 49 years, William Everett Elam, and one brother, Gary Ray Helderbrand.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix with Bro. Randy Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at 7975 Lower Kinney Road, Camp Dix.
Pallbearers will be Terry Helderbrand, Randy Helderbrand, Kevin Helderbrand, Bo Helderbrand, Josh Helderbrand, and Ronnie Helderbrand.
